BGL balls are a genuine leather basketball. This leather construction can make the ball feel slippery on initial use as there are natural oils present in the leather. BGL basketballs need to be broken in or scuffed on an abrasive surface to remove the slipperiness. Once this is done, the BGL ball becomes one of the best basketballs in the world.
